Prompt, Professional, and HonestOur 20-year-old heat pump was way past its prime and "living" on borrowed time. When it began to have trouble starting, I contacted Wesley Chapel Air Conditioning to see what they could do. The owner, Mike Reaka, came out to diagnose the problem. The immediate problem was with the compressor (the heart of the heat pump), but the entire system was old, inefficient, and in its last days. He implemented a stopgap measure (something like a defibrillator) to keep it going a little while longer. He explained the problems with the old system, informed me of my options, and discussed the relative merits of each. At my request, he took some measurements, did some calculations, and gave me a quote for a new system.

When the compressor locked up a few days later, I called Mike back to take advantage of his offer. He came to the house to review the details and have me sign the necessary paperwork. Before leaving, he brought in a portable cooling unit to get us through the night, which we all appreciated very much! The installation was well choreographed. With drop cloths in place, one crew began working outside while the other headed for the attic--I'm guessing they lost the coin toss. It wasn't too long before things were cleaned up and cold air was blowing.

By the way, I highly recommend the UV light option, because I saw what the old A-coil looked like without one. It prevents the growth of mold, mildew, and gelatinous goo that clog your system and subsequently blow through your house. In summary, I appreciate the prompt, professional, and honest conduct of this company. I recommend them without reservation.
